Japanese music video produced at Ambience for PICS Japan.

Director Taku Inoue of PICS Japan approached Ambience to create a fully animated music video based on a story by Yusuke Kishi. The most unique aspect of what Inoue wanted to achieve was the 2D/3D look of the video. There was quite a bit of R&D done before we were finally selected to do the video. The final look was achieved through the texturing/shading of the characters and their environments in Maya, in combination with heavy treatment in compositing using various comping techniques and filters.
